15 Stores I Shop At For Trendy Clothes and Accessories

A Little Background

Recently I was asked by a few of my content creator friends about where I shop for my clothes, so I figured this post was long overdue! Anytime someone compliments my outfit, I get happy because I look at fashion as a creative outlet and as a form of art. To me, fashion is more than materialism. It’s a way for me to express myself and experiment with different styles, pieces, and textures. I don’t buy clothing to brag about the price tag or name brand. Where you shop directly impacts your style, so I’m excited about the opportunity to share 15 stores I shop at for trendy clothes and accessories.

If you’ve followed me for a while, then you know how drastically my style has changed in the past few years. When I first started out with blogging, I was obsessed with Vineyard Vines, J.Crew, and Lilly Pulitzer. While those stores will always have a special place in my heart because they got me into fashion, the preppy style isn’t me anymore and hasn’t been for a few years now. Although I don’t have a specific style, I would consider myself a mix of girly and trendy/edgy styles. My favorite color is pink, but I love to wear an all-black look from time to time, so the places I shop at sell a wide variety of styles.

As a recent grad school graduate, it’s not in my budget to shop at designer or overly expensive stores right now. My focus is on affordable, trendy fashion, and the stores I shop at reflect that. I would eventually like to eliminate fast-fashion from my closet, but for now, I’m doing the best that I can with a plan to incorporate more trips to thrift stores in the future. It’s okay if you disagree with my shopping choices!

Favorite Clothing Stores

1. Shein/Romwe

I’ve shopped at Shein and Romwe since I was a freshman in college, and these stores continue to have some of the best deals and trendy pieces that I’ve seen yet. Shein and Romwe are affiliated, so if you can’t find something on one of the websites, try searching on the opposite. I shop here for everyday basics such as t-shirts to trendy pieces of the season like cow print shoulder bags. Shein and Romwe are universal stores I can find almost anything from.

2. Boohoo

I started shopping at Boohoo this year, and it’s become one of my favorite online stores. Similar to Shein, Boohoo has great deals and usually hold sales for up to 60% off. I find myself gravitating to Boohoo for basic pieces such as crop tops and trendy pieces like floral print dresses. Boohoo carries a variety of accessories and loungewear too.

3. Nasty Gal

Nasty Gal is affiliated with Boohoo, although the clothes are slightly different. If I’m looking for seasonal trends or fancier clothing, I usually shop at Nasty Gal for these pieces. I picked up a few cute dresses from Nasty Gal in the past year or two and love them. This website is also good for trendy items such as satin shirts, zebra print, knitted two-piece sets, and more.

4. ZARA

I fell absolutely in love with Zara this year! I love almost everything this store carries. ZARA can be pricey, but it depends on what pieces you look at. ZARA crop tops are very affordable and usually priced under $20, and their sale section has amazing deals. I frequently shop here for my jeans and basic tops.

5. H&M

H&M has really stepped up its game in the past few years. I love their collections season after season. Last year, I bought the majority of my sweaters from here. H&M is another store I gravitate toward for denim and basic pieces. The workwear selection is great, and I’ve purchased some of my favorite blazers from here.

6. Target

Target is my entire life to be honest. I’m obsessed with the Wild Fable line the store carries. I find the cutest pieces for affordable prices, and they’re on-trend. Besides Wild Fable, Target has several other in-store lines with cute pieces. A New Day is another Target line I’ve purchased great shoes, jewelry, and sweaters at. Target has it all, so you can’t go wrong here!

7. Marshalls/ T.J. Maxx

Marshalls and T.J. Maxx are my go-to stores for the best deals! If you’ve never shopped here, you’re seriously missing out. Both stores have websites now where you can order pieces online. I shop here for everything from shoes to winter jackets.

8. Amazon

Amazon has a huge selection of clothes, shoes, and accessories. I shop here for most of my accessories such as earrings, headbands, and purses, but the clothing selection is amazing too. I found so many cute bathing suits from here this summer, and I’m excited to start finding sweaters here.

9. ChicWish

I began partnering with ChicWish, an online boutique, back in May and have loved every piece of clothing they’ve sent me so far. They’re a little pricey, but they do often hold sales, and if you have the money to splurge, then ChicWish is the store for you. They sell everything from whimsical dresses to comfortable loungewear, and I own a little bit of everything.

10. Walmart

I know, I know you probably think I’m crazy when I say I like to shop at Walmart. But keep in mind that Walmart’s website carries a huge variety of items outside of what the stores carry. However, I’m able to find some cute pieces in-store too! Walmart has a trendy clothing line called Time & Tru, and it’s similar to Target’s Wild Fable line.

Stores I Occasionally Buy From

1. Abercrombie

Abercrombie is a great place to shop for casual clothing and denim. I own a few pairs of jeans from here and also love their tank tops and crop tops. The sale selection online is amazing, so I highly recommend checking it out.

2. Hollister

I shop at Hollister more in the past few years than I did when I was in middle school, as funny as that may seem. Hollister’s merchandise is trendier now than in the past, and I love the easy-going trendy/beachy vibe they’ve always had. The online sale selection is amazing from here too, and I also get some of my favorite jeans here.

3. Forever 21

I’ve moved away from Forever 21 a lot in the past few years, but there’s still a store in my mall, so I will pop into it on occasion. The prices are very affordable, and the store keeps up with most fashion trends, so I’m tempted to buy from here sometimes.

4. Express

I used to shop here a lot when I was in high school, and then my interest kind of faded. However, I’ve loved Express’ merchandise in the past few months and find a lot of great basics here as well as accessories. I’ve heard from other bloggers that the denim selection is amazing, so I plan to check the jeans out too.

5. Nordstrom Rack

I’ll shop at Nordstrom Rack from time to time if I’m looking for a Nordstrom piece at a cheaper price or a specific item. I purchased a few animal print cardigans during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year, and they’re some of my favorites. I also love the shoe selection here!

Stores I Want to Start Shopping At

1. Princess Polly

I love watching Princess Polly hauls on YouTube, and this store has amazing basic pieces. They’re a little expensive for a fast-fashion store, but I like everything they sell and can easily see myself shopping here.

2. Bershka

I recently discovered Bershka after watching a few YouTube hauls, and I absolutely love it! The clothes are so cute, and there are so many great basic and trendy pieces here.

3. Adika

Adika is a trendy brand I found on Instagram and TikTok. A lot of teens and college girls shop here because the clothes are relatively affordable and trendy. There are some cool, edgy pieces I’d love to try out too.

4. Aritzia

I only became familiar with Aritzia in the past one or two years after going to some of the NYC stores. I’ve noticed more and more people shopping here for basic and staple pieces and want to try it out myself.

5. Mango

Mango gives me ZARA vibes. This store sells a combo of trendy pieces and everyday basics for around the price range as ZARA.

6. Pretty Little Thing

I love shopping at Boohoo and Nasty Gal, and the clothes here are very similar. PLT has basics and trendy pieces for affordable prices.

7. Nordstrom

Nordstrom is on the more expensive side, but I’d like to invest in a few quality jackets, pairs of shoes, jeans, and sweaters from here over time.

8. LoveShack Fancy

I won’t be shopping here anytime soon because the dresses at this store go for about $400-$600 each, but it’s a nice goal to work up to. The most whimsical, feminine dresses you’ll ever see are sold here!

9. River Island

River Island has sooo many cute pieces and different styles. The store is a little pricey but reminds me of a combination of H&M and ZARA. I can see myself shopping here more in a few years after I’m more established.

10. Brandy Melville

Brandy is a blast from the past and popular among high school and college girls, but I find some cute clothes here. The sizing is annoying because they carry a one size fits all range, but I’m petite, so it works in my favor.

11. Garage

I recently popped into a Garage store and loved everything I found. I loved their graphic tees, sweaters, dresses, and denim.

12. Cotton On

I loved shopping at Cotton On during college for basic tops. The best basic and trendy pieces can be found here for affordable prices.

I know this is a huge list, but I hope you’re able to take some shopping inspiration away from the stores I’ve shared! Happy shopping 🙂
