Four Ways to Dress Girly This Summer Featuring ChicWish Outfits

Hi, friends! In light of everything that’s happening in our society, I took a week off of posting on my blog and most of my social media platforms to educate myself and to support the Black Lives Matter Movement. If you’re in search of resources, you can check out my Instagram or my Twitter, where I’ve shared information on places to donate, materials to study, petitions to sign, and more. I understand that I will never understand. However, I stand with you and will continue to advocate for change.

With that being said, I’m going to continue sharing my normal fashion content again, along with my support of BLM and other movements that spread equality. To start us off, I have to share my love of ChicWish girly fashion here on my blog. My style is hard to categorize, but I would narrow it down to a mixture of girly and trendy looks. This spring, I’ve loved wearing all things pink, feminine, and floral print. It should come as no surprise that ChicWish is one of the first brands I turned to for my femme fashion fix. Here are four ways to dress girly this summer featuring ChicWish outfits.

About ChicWish

ChicWish is a retro, indie boutique that sells hand-selected pieces to their customers. The goal of the brand is to direct the younger generation to chic, vintage styles at an affordable price. Some of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe have come from Chicwish, including this fabulous Carrie Bradshaw-inspired skirt that I wore to New York Fashion Week back in February.

I love to wear girly outfits because they highlight my delicate features. It’s no surprise that I look much younger than I am even though I’m in my twenties. Wearing light colors, florals, and girly accessories bring out my eyes and emphasize my youth. After dressing girly for the entire spring season this year, I believe that I have the look down, and these are my tips if you want to transform your wardrobe into a femme wonderland or if you simply want to experiment with a different style.

A White Two-Piece Set

Traditionally, we reserve white for summertime, and we aren’t technically supposed to wear it after Labor Day until the following season. However, who still follows that rule anymore? White is a basic shade and a good neutral to have in your closet. It brightens up any outfit and matches with anything, so I make sure to include white pieces in all of my girly looks. Blush pink is my go-to color this spring, and I find that white compliments it nicely.

The Sweetheart Floral Embroidery Puff-Sleeve Crop Top and Skirt Set in White from ChicWish is my go-to two-piece set this summer. It’s so dainty and elegant, and puff sleeves are really in style right now. I love the eyelet floral details and the sweetheart neckline. The skirt is the perfect length and has shorts underneath, so you don’t have to worry about it being see-through or inappropriate. To accessorize, I styled this look with a round rattan straw bag, rattan earrings, and Vince Camuto wedges. This white set will look perfect with a tan as we head into summer, and it highlights the straw accessories.

A Pink Crop Top

It is possible to dress girly while still looking trendy. One of my favorite tops to wear are pink crop tops because I’m getting my feminine pink fix while still showing off a little skin and remaining on-trend. I love the 3D Roses Wrapped Crop Top in Nude Pink. The rose detailing is gorgeous and looks like a piece straight out of a fairytale. I love that I can dress this piece up with a midi skirt or dress it down with white jeans or a denim jacket.

The wrap detailing is elegant, and it can be tied into a bow for the full princess effect. Adding a little pink to your wardrobe is the best way to dress girly during spring and summer, and a crop top gives you a little edge. In this look, I styled my crop top with white jeans, taupe wedges, a taupe bag, a pearl headband, and heart earrings.

A Pink Sweater

Adding a feminine sweater to your wardrobe will instantly make it more girly. I’m a sucker for a good sweater, and this cardigan is nothing short of amazing. I’ve eyed this cardigan for so long I can’t even remember, so it’s unreal to finally own it and have it in my wardrobe to wear now. Sweaters are ideal for the girly look because they’re such a classic piece to own and can easily be styled with any outfit depending on how dressy you want it to be.

I love the chunky style of this sweater, and it’s super cozy and warm for colder spring nights. I love the heart pom-pom texture as well for a trendy, chic look. I’ve styled my Knit Your Love Cardigan in Pink with my Sweetheart Floral Embroidery Puff-Sleeve Crop Top and Skirt Set in White, a pearl headband, pink hoop earrings, a pearl bag, and white platform tennis sneakers.

A Pink Midi Skirt

Midi skirts are one of my favorite clothing items to own. They’re so versatile and easy to dress up or down. I own a wide variety of them and find myself styling midi skirts in every season now. ChicWish sells some of the most beautiful skirts I’ve ever seen. I love the pink color of this midi skirt, and the floral texture is whimsical and perfect for a girly spring look.

Midi skirts are easy to wear to work or school and can be dressed up for night time occasions too. I’m wearing the 3D Roses Full Lace Midi Skirt in Pink, and I’ve styled it with the white crop top I showed earlier in the post, a pink pearl knotted headband, pearl heart earrings, a pearl bag, and white platform tennis sneakers.
