25 Disney Plus Movies and TV Shows To Watch During Quarantine

I didn’t know what heaven felt like until Disney Plus was created. If you don’t think you need another streaming service, you are wrong. Disney Plus has every movie and TV show you probably watched growing up and even more for you to discover for the first time. Unlike Netflix, Disney Plus has GOOD movies that you won’t regret watching for hours on end. From cartoons to childhood classics, Disney Plus seriously has it all.

By now, you’re probably losing your mind at home in quarantine. Trust me, I can relate to that feeling. I don’t remember how long it’s been since I stepped foot in a Target or a Marshalls, and I miss seeing my friends. But thank goodness for quality TV and movies to help me pass the time a little faster. If you need recommendations or haven’t purchased Disney Plus yet, here are my top 25 Disney Plus movies and TV shows to watch at home during the quarantine. This list is solely based on my opinion and what I enjoyed watching during my childhood. Of course, I could’ve made this list novels long, but I’m keeping it short and sweet.

Movies

1.The Parent Trap

This movie is iconic and one of my favorites on Disney Plus. It stars Lindsay Lohan as twins Hallie and Annie who meet during summer camp and discover they’re sisters. Although they dislike each other at first, they eventually form a bond and create a plan to bring their parents back together. But first, they have to get rid of evil Meredith, Hallie’s Dad’s fiancé, who will do anything for a little money.

2.The Princess Diaries

Aren’t we all low-key waiting for our mysterious royal relative to show up at our doorstep? The Princess Diaries stars Anne Hathaway as Mia Thermopolis, a teenager from San Francisco living with her artist mother. Her father died when she was very young, so she never got to know his family, but one day her royal grandmother arrives at her home to invite her to claim her place as Princess of Genovia. Mia’s life is the farthest thing from royal, so it takes quite the adjusting to.

3.The Lizzie McGuire Movie

In The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Lizzie and her 8th-grade class take a trip to Rome, Italy. Lizzie isn’t content with the typical tourist trip to Italy and meets a guy named Paolo, who also happens to be an Italian celebrity singer. Lizzie resembles Paolo’s partner Isabella and ends up preparing to sing with Paolo in Isabella’s place. But it’s later revealed that Paolo can’t really sing, and it’s up to Lizzie to make things right and tell the truth to his fans. Hey now, hey now…

4.Freaky Friday

Life sure does feel like a spinoff of Freaky Friday right now. Lindsay Lohan is back, but this time as a teenager named Anna who constantly fights with her mother, Tess. They are complete opposites, but one day they wake up in each other’s bodies after receiving crazy fortunes at a Chinese restaurant. It’s up to them to make it through the day in each other’s place.

5.Cheaper By the Dozen

Tom and Kate Baker are a married couple who have 12 children. Once the children are old enough, Kate beings to pursue writing and promoting her book, and Tom begins coaching a football team and has the family move. Their new life doesn’t go as planned, and the balance between work and family life creates insanity.

This is quite the life change for goofy, fun Kelly and a challenge between being herself and learning the way of her stepfather’s life.

8. High School Musical

10/10 would recommend! When the musical season rolls around, no one wants to participate. Then an unlikely crew comes together once star basketball player Troy Bolton and school brainiac Gabriella Montez form a relationship and realize how much they love singing and performing. Troy and Gabriella realize that they don’t have to choose between sports, academics, and performing. They can have it all once they realize what’s truly important to them.

Opal and her father have only ever had each other and their small camper down south. One day, Opal rescues a dog in the Winn-Dixie market after he runs through and trashes the place, and she names him after the store.
