Five Last Minute New Year’s Eve Outfits To Wear This Year

I can’t believe it’s the end of 2019 already! It feels like just yesterday I was recapping 2018 and now we’re heading into a new decade. This will be my last blog post of the year, so I had to dedicate it to NYE outfits, of course. I never do anything fancy on New Year’s Eve but I still love to look at sparkly dresses and sequined tops because why not? I make my own opportunities to dress trendy and chic and that means wearing something fun on all occasions from grad school classes to dinner with friends. Here are five last-minute New Year’s Eve outfits to wear this year!

It’s no shocker that I’m opting for another night in this year because I’m somewhat of an introvert and don’t enjoy late nights out partying (unless it’s for a fashion industry event, duh!) and would rather spend the night at home curled by my TV eating yummy food. But for those of you more adventurous than me, I’ve selected some easy outfits I think you’ll love and may already own so you don’t have to go out and spend money.

Turtleneck and Midi Skirt

If you’re spending the night at home like me or attending a casual gathering at a friend’s house, then there’s no need to wear a fancy dress (Unless you want to!). In my opinion, turtlenecks always look chic, and it will keep you cozy. I love midi skirts, and I think a turtleneck tucked into one is the perfect combination of festive and comfortable outfits.

Sequin Romper

Anything with sequins is a no-brainer on New Year’s Eve, but you can’t go wrong with a sparkly romper. I love the wrap detail on this style, and it’s the perfect chic look to wear to a dinner or a party. Pair it with black or sparkly heels, and you have yourself a festive look for an affordable price!

Sequin Blazer and Jeans

This is another chill but fun look to wear on New Year’s Eve! Jeans are casual but the sequin blazer dresses up the look and makes it festive for the holiday. I love how a simple sequin detail can transform a classic blazer! I would love to wear this outfit to a friend’s house party or a casual dinner.

Mini Dress

A little sequin mini dress is a classic on New Year’s Eve. I love the look of sequins, and they add a fun detail to a mini dress. I personally like the asymmetrical style because it looks fancy and I’d love to wear it to a casino or a dinner party on New Year’s Eve.

Puff Sleeve Blouse and Sequin Skirt

Puff sleeves are very popular right now and easy to find in almost any trendy clothing store. If you’re in a pinch for a puff sleeve top, definitely check out Forever 21 or H&M. I would wear a black top with a sequin skirt, so the sequins really pop! If you don’t own a sequin skirt, something with color or a pattern could be fun too.
