For the longest time summer was my favorite season, but fall really grew on me this year. I’ve learned to appreciate everything New England has to offer, from the beautiful changing leaves to local pumpkin picking and all of the opportunities I have to cherish this time of year while living in Connecticut. With this being said, fall is easily one of the best seasons for fashion. Plaid, tweed, houndstooth…you get the picture.
To celebrate fall and share a few of my favorite looks with you all, I’ve teamed up with my blogger friend Kara from Kara’s Cup of Tea and @karascupoftea on Instagram to bring you a fun collaboration post. Kara shares bright, cheerful content that you definitely don’t want to miss, especially if you love pink and Lilly Pulitzer. Pops of Red
This look is totally inspired by Sarah Vickers because I love her classic style. Red is one of my favorite colors this fall. I love how it looks when pictured with the colorful leaves, apples and pumpkins. This red jacket is from Forever 21 a few season ago, but I will link a similar one for you to shop. I also love how it looks paired with a classic flannel and corduroy skirt. Corduroy is in this year and I find it in stores all the time. You also can’t go wrong with a pair of Tory Burch boots and cat-eye sunglasses.

Pink Plaid
I’m a huge fan of plaid as I mentioned earlier. I just can’t seem to stop buying it and this skirt was no exception. I spotted this one pretty early on in September from Forever 21 and knew it would be perfect to style with a cable-knit sweater, pair of riding boots and a sparkly statement necklace.

Bows and Neutrals
Fall opened my eyes to how much I love neutral shades and darker colors this year. I’ve always been into bright colors and bold prints but not so much anymore. I love this classic sweater with the bow at the neckline and I found a pair of flats to match. Nude shoes with the black leather toe like this pair are also very in this season and I found this pair recently for only $22!
