Lilly Pulitzer says it best: It’s not always sunny, but always in a sunny state of mind. Rainy days can be just as fun as sunny days if you make the most of them. Instead of wasting the day by complaining about the stormy skies, do something productive and enjoyable! Down below, I listed several suggestions that would be the perfect activities for a day when the weather isn’t quite perfect.
1. Netflix// Although Netflix is a major temptation on a rainy day, it’s much better to watch with friends and have a viewing party than to stay holed up in your room all day. Invite friends or family members to spend a few hours watching movies or the latest tv show!
5. Shop// Both online shopping and visiting stores in person will suffice! I love wearing my favorite comfy clothes such as Jadelynn Brooke shirts while also ordering from them and my other favorite stores online!
6. Movies// I absolutely love going to the movies. My theatre has an awesome deal where you can purchase movies tickets for only $6 on Tuesdays, make sure to check out your local theatre to see if there is anything similar! It’s definitely so much fun on a rainy day. Who else is excited to watch Harry Styles in Dunkirk?
7. Write// Rainy days are the perfect excuse to catch up on my blogging or photography edits. The past few rainy days have been very productive for my writing, if you have a blog or website, I advise you take advantage of this time too. Journaling is also a fun outlet if you prefer something more private.
8. Board games// I know this may sound corny, but I love playing board games with my friends and family. Some of my favorites include Monopoly and Scrabble, give them a try if you haven’t already.
9. Organize// I like to be organized in every way possible. If the weather is bad, I take this time to clean the entirety of my room and plan out my week in my Lilly Pulitzer planner..
10. Try something new// If I know I won’t be going anywhere, I like to try out new outfit combinations and makeup styles. I have gotten much better at winging my eyeliner in the past year, and I feel like my outfits are also improving by doing some test runs during my free time. Rainy days are the perfect time to experiment with your look because you can easily change or wash your makeup off if necessary!
